Cardiologs is partnering with physicians to develop technology that accelerates diagnostic reporting, reduces reporting errors and streamlines clinician workflow, enabling healthcare professionals to provide cardiac expertise faster and more efficiently.
The acquisition complements Philips' current offering, with Cardiologs fitting seamlessly into the Dutch leader's existing portfolio of cardiac care solutions.
The startup brings its expertise in provider-independent cardiac screening and ECG analysis applications based on machine learning algorithms.
"Philips' global footprint can accelerate the availability of Cardiologs' technology to patients worldwide and quadruple the goals of a better patient care experience, better health outcomes, better staff experience and lower cost of care" said Roy Jakobs, Chief Business Leader Connected Care at Royal Philips.
The 70 employees of Cardiologs, mainly engineers and data scientists specialized in AI and learning algorithms, will join Philips and develop the company's ongoing innovation activities focused on AI in collaboration with the Paris R&D lab of the world leader in healthcare technologies.
"We look forward to the opportunity to grow the business as part of Philips, maintaining vendor neutrality and continuing to work with third-party vendors to drive the adoption of digital health solutions globally." Yann Fleureau , co-founder and CEO of Cardiologs.
Congratulations to the team and good luck!
