The European Innovation Council (EIC) announces the second round of companies selected to receive funding from the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA). In total, 99 innovative companies, including 16 French ones, will receive €627 million.
Since 2018, EIC aims to support disruptive innovations, participating in their development and diversification. To do this, it provides funding for innovative and risky projects with the aim of reaffirming the sovereignty and autonomy of the Union.
EIC has selected 99 innovative startups and SMEs that will receive €627 million in funding to accelerate their cutting-edge innovations.
By attracting private investors and offering a portfolio of services to support the scaling of these new technologies, EIC attracts many talented startups. This year the fields of healthcare, digital technology, energy, biotech and space are mainly highlighted.
In order to be considered for the award, startups must successfully complete a 4-step selection process. This very rigorous process is conducted by external experts and monitored by a jury of experienced investors and entrepreneurs.
